“We are in the feelings business,” newly-minted Chief Marketing Officer of Endeavor, Bozoma St. John said during the first day of DigiCon 2018.
“How do you make your audience feel excited about your product?How do you make sure that they have the passion around the thing they’re trying to create? I’ll give you some examples from my own experiences, because humanity is what drives all of this passion,” Bozoma said inside the Plenary Hall of the PICC where an audience of no less than 3,000 sat and listened.
Bozoma St. John is known as a leading woman in tech who took Silicon Valley by storm. She served as the former Chief Brand Officer of Uber, and former Head of Consumer Marketing for iTunes and Apple.
More than the showcase of various technologies used to promote products and services across the industry, DigiCon 2018 was riddled with a series of talks in the PICC Plenary Hall.
Along with St. John, the event was graced by other marketing giants from across the globe who spoke about the latest in the marketing industry. Namely, Asher Rapkin of Facebook, Shaifali Nathan of Google, Hosi Simon of VICE Media, Samuel Burke of CNN, TuomasPeltoniemi of TBWA, SanchitSanga of Mindshare, AnubhavNayyar of Viber, Greta Corke of Honestbee, ArvinderGujral of Twitter, KK Kumar of Waze, and Angeline Tham of Angkas.
Apart from the discussions headlining the main hall, this year’s DigiCon featured a series of breakout sessions where the attendees can explore three realms of experiences—user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), and brand experience (BX).
DigiConis an annual gathering of thousands of marketing leaders, creative experts, and other like-minded individuals that revolve around advertising and marketing industries across the country.
It is hosted by the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) in aims to spark discussion, shed light on certain trends and topics, and to provide everyone with the opportunity to build a credible network.
